About EMRS ESSE-2025
The National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS), Ministry of Tribal Affairs, is conducting the EMRS Staff Selection Exam (ESSE)-2025 to fill over 7,200 teaching and non-teaching positions across Eklavya Model Residential Schools nationwide. These schools aim to provide high-quality education (Class VI–XII) to students from Scheduled Tribes, with fully residential facilities and co-curricular opportunities.
Teachers and staff will have to stay on campus, and all employees receive an additional 10% special pay due to residential duties.

Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Only Indian citizens eligible.
- Age Limit:
- Principal: Not exceeding 50 years
- PGT: Not exceeding 40 years
- TGT/Non-teaching: Not exceeding 35 years
- Age relaxation as per Govt. rules
- Education: Specific qualifications for each post (Graduation, Post-Graduation, B.Ed, etc.) – see notification for post-wise details.
- CTET Paper-II qualification is mandatory for TGT posts.
Applicants should ensure they meet the eligibility criteria as of 23.10.2025.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
- Two-tier selection: Tier-I (OMR, MCQ, 2 hours), Tier-II (Descriptive + MCQ, 3 hours), followed by Interview (Principal) or Skill Test (JSA).
- Medium: Bilingual (Hindi & English); Language section as per regional choice.
- Syllabus: Available at NESTS website.
- Cut-off: Gen/OBC/EWS: 30%; SC/ST/PwBD: 25% in Tier-II.
- Negative marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
How to Apply
- Go to the official application portal.
- Register and fill in required details carefully; double-check category and PwBD status before submitting.
- Pay fee online (debit/credit card, net banking, UPI).
- Submit the form and save the confirmation page for future reference.
Tip: Applications are strictly online. One application per post. For multiple posts, fill separate forms and pay fees for each post.
